Fresh out of college in 1987 he had a dream to work with by-product in an industry which could bring foreign exchange and generate employment in India. He had a keen interest in processing by-product in a sustainable way and soon became one of the first companies to do eco-friendly leathers from the country. Amongst the first projects was to start supplying quantities of eco-friendly leathers for Gap Kids and Gap Babies production. This, amongst other reasons, paved way for rise of an enterprise. His wife, Sonali, soon joined after completing a professional Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from University of Akron, Ohio, USA, in 1991.
